Beatrice Driver

Beatrice Driver, born in London, studied the french horn and piano at the Royal Academy of Music (GRSM) followed by a post graduate diploma in Utrecht, Holland (UM).   She performed in the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Chamber Orchestra, the Metropole Orchestra and the orchestras of Cats, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera. As a member of several contemporary and chamber music ensembles she toured extensively in Europe, made many recordings and appeared in radio, TV and theatre productions.

Returning to England, Beatrice discovered Colourstrings when her children were young and trained in the Kodály Method with the BKA.  She has been teaching at NLCC since 2002 and also teaches the horn.

She loves cooking and has recently started teaching cooking and nutrition classes for better health.  As her three sons Tom, Gil and Amit are all NLCC pupils you might catch her, music bag in hand, hoping for a seat on a NLPAC sofa!
